The Tundra is a harsh environment with freezing temperatures, small amounts of precipitation, and a lot of ice. The soil is frozen with permafrost directly below it, which makes plant growth more difficult because the roots cannot dig deep. The abiotic factors of the Tundra affect the biotic aspects of the Tundra vastly.
